The Faculty of Computer Studies (FCS) at the Arab Open University (AOU) offers leading-edge programmes of study in the most in-demand fields through Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes. Currently, FCS offers a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and Computing (ITC) with five track options, Bachelor of Science in Graphic and Multimedia Design/Technology (GMD/T) and a Master of Science in Information Security and Forensics. The ITC Programme and the MSc programme are in partnership with the Open University (OU), UK. These two are validated programmes of study and they give students opportunities to obtain dual degrees (i.e., one from the AOU and the other one from the OU, UK)

The Faculty of Language Studies was established in Egypt in 2003, at the start of the Arab Open University (AOU). The Faculty as part of the AOU, is affiliated with the OU-UK, which validates, accredits, and assesses FLS mode of education. At present, Faculty of Language Studiesoffers a BA Programme (Hons) in English Language and Literature (ELL), BA Programme with a translation track (English Language and Literature with Translation). As for the postgraduate studies, the Faculty of Language Studies offers an MA in English Literature and MA in TEFL.

Faculty of Media and Mass Communication adopts nontraditional distinguished curricula in education that are creative in the application through a highly qualified academic staff who have been awarded their academic degrees from well known, highly ranked international universities. Moreover, these curricula is offered via blended learning and face-to-face classes using untraditional teaching tools.

The Graphic and Multimedia Design/Technology Program is an AOU program that provides students with essential knowledge and skills about the fields of Multimedia, Advertising, Branding, Motion Graphics and Animation. Graduates of this program will be able to undertake 3D animation, game design, mobile applications and development projects which involve advanced multimedia and graphics capabilities. Students will be able to apply creativity, artistic skills, conceptual design, and critical thinking. Students will also be able to create a relationship between design and industry through the development of visual communication.

The Faculty of Education was established in 2002. It currently offers six academic programmes at different levels, and each programme aims at helping students acquire the skills of teaching and scientific research. Instruction and study materials are all in Arabic, with the exception of our Master’s programmes that offer references in both Arabic and English. The faculty offered two degrees within the first two years starting, from October 2002: a postgraduate Diploma and a supplementary Bachelor's degree in Education. Since October 2004, the faculty has offered a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and another Bachelor’s degree in Special Education. Two Master’s Programmes were also offered in 2011 and 2014: one in Instructional Technology and another in Educational Leadership. In 2014, the Masters programme in Instructional Technology was validated by the Center for Inclusion and Collaborative Partnerships of the Open University, UK. Graduates of this programme are offered two degrees: one from the Arab Open University and another from the Open University, UK. The faculty is also interested in offering training programmes that help serve the larger community. Some of the field areas covered in our training programmes include: learning difficulties, Autism, gifted children, nurseries, and modern teaching methodologies.
