Luxor University is an Egyptian public university in Luxor Governorate, subdivided from South Valley University. It was previously called South Valley University, Luxor branch, then it became independent in its current name and includes faculties of fine arts - computers and information - archeology - tourism and hotels - age - medicine. Ministers, to establish the new “Luxor University” and completely separate it from South Valley University, as it carried Resolution No. 1481 of 2019, amending some provisions of the executive regulations of the Universities Organizing Law, regarding converting the branch of South Valley University in Luxor Governorate into an independent university named Luxor University, and the text of the decision To be established in addition to the universities stipulated in Article Two of the Universities Organizing Law (Luxor University), located in Luxor Governorate. He held the position of Vice Dean of the Faculty of Science at South Valley University and head of the Botany Department at the same university. He won the Scientific Excellence Award at South Valley University
